In 2014 Summit were approached by endurance athlete and fitness model Max Willcocks, who enquired about the possibility of Summit helping to raise money for charity.
After learning about The Arctic V, which included British Olympian Chemmy Alcott, the opportunity to combine raising money for charity with snow-sports was too good an opportunity to turn down.
Along with four-time Olympian Chemmy Alcott, Chris Brooks, Richard Gibbs, Adam Libbey and Max Willcocks (‘The Arctic V’) were to take on the world’s toughest ski race in order to raise funds for Ski 4 Cancer.
Greenland’s Arctic Circle is a 160 kilometre long adventure type, cross-country race in Sisimiut. The course is known as the toughest cross-country race in the world!
Ski 4 Cancer is a UK based charity that provides alpine based respite days and short-breaks for British families who have been affected by the disease.
After a few months of tweaking, we designed a goggle that not only could be used by the Arctic V in Greenland, but also a goggle that could be sold to generate funds for this great charity!
