LIAM TYNAN - SLOPESTYLE

About Liam Tynan

My 1st experience of the snow was in Milton Keynes, where I was learning how to ski so I could go to Blue Mountain out in Canada with my mum and uncle. I was about 3 years old. I discovered on this holiday that I loved the snow and was not put off by the cold.

When I was around 7 and a half I went to the mountains with my dad, it was there I tried snowboarding and ever since then I never looked back! In fact, I have not put skis on since. I am a snowboarder through and through. My dad converted an old people carrier so we can sleep in ’the van’ when we go to snowboard events. The first year we went to LAAX Brits on a shoe string budget, we slept in the van in a car park for 10 nights and I won medals which I hadn’t expected.

My snowboarding at the moment is going extremely well and I seem to be progressing a lot. I am really enjoying it and want to progress even more! This year I am doing the World Rookie tour for the first time and I am super excited to compete, it will be my first time competing internationally. As I get older I want to compete in some of the biggest competitions in the world including: Olympics, Dew Tour, XGames and Burton US Open.

How Liam Can Help You

How You Can Help Liam

Part of our ethos at Summit is to support the UKs most up and coming riders, the riders that really have future Olympic potential and are willing to put the hours in to make it happen. You can have all the talent in the world, but with annual expenses in excess of £6,000 per season, they need all the help they can get… and this is where you can help them too!

Equipment expenses, travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, lift passes… the list is long!
Although encouraged, your support doesn’t have to be financial; by offering products, discounts on your services and by shouting about our athletes, you are exposing their talent to the world and that’s where opportunities and doors can open.

We believe in giving something back and helping the UKs snow-sports athletes of the future… if you’d like to help them too, please contact us at sponsorship@summitworldwide.eu.
