In January 2013 Jamie unfortunately had a serious injury, which resulted in him having to drop out of the British Snowboard Cross team.
Not wanting to give up even though his injury couldn’t be fixed, he turned his hand to doing various crazy stunts and to breaking a number of Guinness World Records!
Most recently he broke the British Snowboarding record by reaching a speed of 151.6kph (94.2mph) and also got towed by a plane in St. Moritz, reaching speeds of 78mph!
Jamie is a Sky Sports Living For Sport Athlete Mentor, working with the Youth Sport Trust. He makes regular public appearances, speeches and presentations to adult and student groups.
An extremely determined athlete and a very likeable character, Jamie is already planning more speed records; he plans to break the 100mph barrier and continues to do things that no one has ever done before… Watch this space as Jamie Barrow is soon to release his next record breaking stunt!
